On June 28, Deputy Aimee Hartshorn, and her infant son, Landry, were killed when a pickup truck went left of center on Ravenna Avenue NE, in Marlboro Township, Ohio.
Deputy Aimee Hartshorn and Landry were passengers in the car that her husband was driving that morning. Their car was hit head-on. The Hartshorns were headed to a family outing, and other family members following behind them called for help.
Deputy Aimee Hartshorn's husband and their two year old son, Devin, survived the accident.
The driver of the pickup truck received a 20-day jail sentence, a $600.00 fine and loss of his driver’s license for two years after being convicted of two vehicular homicide charges and for driving left of center.
